How To Decorate The Baby’s Room? – Being Parents

How to decorate the baby's room?

Making a simple place special and idyllic is no easy task. Most parents fear, when trying to beautify their child’s room, that they will forget their safety. Insulated splinters, wedges and screws are a real headache for any parent.

Fortunately, there are plenty of tips to guide you when decorating a baby’s roomIt is possible to create a wonderful little corner and at the same time adapted to the needs of our little one.

What should we find in the baby’s room?

The cradle

Obviously, the  cradle  is the main element of the baby’s room. Each parent can choose the type of bed that best suits the needs of the child, never forgetting the protective barriers.

It should also be kept away from electrical outlets or any type of cable.

The rugs

To create a warm and family atmosphere in the bedroom,  rugs are essential. It is recommended to choose them with soft fabrics, so that the child feels comfortable. In addition to the cradle, the mats are a great place to play and feel free,  without the restrictions of the bars.

Flexible furniture

Choose  furniture that can transform into other items. The child will grow up and will no longer need certain furniture which will become obsolete. It is a good idea to choose ones that can be used for other purposes,  such as convertible beds or small shelves.

Get ones that are multi-functional, like  baby changing tables , which can double as a wardrobe for clothes and a storage space for your child’s toys.

Decorate the baby's room

Adapted lamps and lights

Proper illumination can completely change the style of a bedroom. Install lamps in soft shades,  which promote the rest of the child. Those who are lively can distract him  and prevent him from sleeping well.

Also try not to use too strong nor too weak lights. Many young children have difficulty sleeping, and  low light helps them fall asleep.

How sweet it is to sleep in peace when in the distance murmur the poplars which sway, the waters which fall!

A mirror

It may seem trivial, but having a mirror in the baby’s room is essential. It plays a fundamental role in the way in which the child learns to become familiar with his own body. It is preferable that it is made of plastic, to avoid possible unforeseen accidents.

If it is hung on the wall or at a safe height, there is no problem. If, on the contrary, it is close to the ground,  it is better not to leave the child alone and to be present when playing on the ground.

A sofa for parents

This room will not be used only by the child. Parents will also spend a large part of their time there,  feeding, rocking and caring for the baby. A sofa next to the bed provides moments of relaxation, where  you can be with your newborn baby and at the same time doze, read or even work.

Since it is the parents who will use it, the most important thing is that it is comfortable.

Toys

For younger children,  mobiles are the best option. They are suspended above the cradle and spin around, entertaining the baby. There are an endless number of different models,  most of them with figures of animals or objects that catch the attention of children.

Decorate the baby's room

The  stuffed animals  are also recommended at that age. They are soft, safe and the baby can play with them both outside and inside the cradle. As for  toys that are harder to the touch or contain small parts, it is best to leave them for later.

Baby monitors

If the parents’ room is not located near the baby’s room, it is necessary to have a baby  monitor. One of the transmitters should be placed in the parents’ room, who will be notified when the baby cries.

The other should be near the baby’s cradle and both  should be checked every now and then as they may end up without batteries or get damaged and stop being useful.
